The supporters of OS IMPOSSIVEIS booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Yepes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Abram Luque made a precise shot to the right of Frederico Pirani. OS IMPOSSIVEIS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Osvaldo Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes, OS IMPOSSIVEIS's Eugênio Souto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in OS IMPOSSIVEIS reached it. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Frederico Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. OS IMPOSSIVEIS's Frederico Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Luque in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 42nd minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesinha Galvão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, OS IMPOSSIVEIS's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Luque came free, but Frederico Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Marco Tamayo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Frederico Pirani, passed just outside the right post. Carlos Alberto Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Alberto Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. OS IMPOSSIVEIS's Gilberto Silveira was substituted for Cesinha Galvão. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateo Leguizamo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
