The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ana Ţugui having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's attentive Sabin Cândroveanu managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Ferrant made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. 22 minutes in the game Efrain Moruga did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eliseo Noboa. If Emilian Ţurlău had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Tasis scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ana Ţugui, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Manole Tăcutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Sabin Cândroveanu. 40 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ana Ţugui was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Axel Tasis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ana Ţugui was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Hugo Ferrant charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Ferrant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Sabin Cândroveanu. In the 72nd minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ana Ţugui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ana Ţugui showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Lautaro Puig made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Manole Tăcutu. Hugo Ferrant made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lautaro Puig. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gelu Jumancă managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Jumancă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Sabin Cândroveanu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 91 minute of the game. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Claudiu Bădulescu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Efrain Moruga, made in the 93rd minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Claudiu Bădulescu. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Although -BZF- Valea Buzăului had been in control for most of the match, Costa Rica still came away with the win.
