Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Lain in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Chile booed when Penny lane F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Szoboszlai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaroslaw Bako made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Penny lane F.C's Arnoldo Cebo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felix Garrido, made in the 42nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 44th minute of play forced Penny lane F.C's goalkeeper Jaroslaw Bako to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jaroslaw Bako having to make a save. Chile were furious when Pedro Indiano was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Chile:s Thiago Pliego showed great skill when he stopped Nicolas Otamendi:s penalty. Ramtin Shahidi kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Chile were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
