With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Saturnino Romo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goal looked a bit too open when Emmanuel Reyes came free, but Silvano Portillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Cordera. Luz Tejedor took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvano Portillo. Silvano Portillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 27 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Silvano Portillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvano Portillo was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Bikendi in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mina notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Silvano Portillo. Silvano Portillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 36 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Saturnino Romo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvano Portillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 40th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Silvano Portillo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 42nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Portillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvano Portillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Silvano Portillo made a huge save. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Romo in the 58th minute of play. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Jerzy Marchefka was substituted for Saturnino Romo. Alonso Berganza made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Silvano Portillo managed to reach the ball for a save. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Silvano Portillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerzy Marchefka in the 81st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Jerzy Marchefka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. 88 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Silvano Portillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eliseo Mina was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. With an all-out effort, Peru's Silvano Portillo threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Gallo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 93 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Silvano Portillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
