After 3 minutes of play, AlmaToran's Lope Lortia made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 6th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Feliciano Contera fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 9th minute of the match, Hipolito Ponce tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to AlmaToran getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hipolito Ponce hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arotza Dobarral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind AlmaToran's goalkeeper Loreto Palanques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hipolito Ponce in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Loreto Palanques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Mariano made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tomas Illescas however managed to control. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lope Lortia in the 35th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Loreto Palanques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Loreto Palanques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loreto Palanques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hipolito Ponce in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After having played for 54 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 58th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Chan Mariny struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AlmaToran. In the 63rd minute of the game Guillermo Mariano made a throw-in which Tomas Illescas played forward. Cris Tellado kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loreto Palanques having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Hipolito Ponce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Hipolito Ponce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Ponce in the 76th minute of the match. Arotza Dobarral took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arotza Dobarral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chan Mariny hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AlmaToran.
