After a defensive mix-up in Cx AY YILDIZ T.I.M. Cx's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colombain Parham came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cx AY YILDIZ T.I.M. Cx booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tytus Turak in the 9th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krzysztof Sanocki, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Cx AY YILDIZ T.I.M. Cx's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tytus Turak in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Krzysztof Sanocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cx getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Zézinho Paulista hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Cx AY YILDIZ T.I.M. Cx's goalkeeper Colombain Parham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Colombain Parham in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Colombain Parham made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Gencal Sayıl hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Colombain Parham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Yao Chen Fei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Zézinho Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tibor Bolwig hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krzysztof Sanocki in the 75th minute. After 79 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Colombain Parham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Cx AY YILDIZ T.I.M. Cx's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Colombain Parham despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 84 played minutes Cx AY YILDIZ T.I.M. Cx got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Bolwig. Sylvain Ransom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Gencal Sayıl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cx AY YILDIZ T.I.M. Cx and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
