The supporters of AlmaToran booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Ponce in the 14th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Francisco Seco took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Loreto Palanques to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arotza Dobarral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Seco in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Loreto Palanques, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Loreto Palanques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 29th minute of the match. Jaime Cazalla ran back to his position shaking his head. Loreto Palanques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Gisbert's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute Arotza Dobarral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when AlmaToran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chabier Omente didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hipolito Ponce to make the kick off. Arotza Dobarral's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arotza Dobarral helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, AlmaToran was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arotza Dobarral to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the match, AlmaToran's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Loreto Palanques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chan Mariny made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Loreto Palanques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, AlmaToran's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Loreto Palanques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Ponce in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Bruno Beldad hit a great ball. AlmaToran made a substitution. Aztore Aroztegui replaced Chale Trabeso. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Ponce in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loreto Palanques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Hipolito Ponce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hipolito Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hipolito Ponce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. When AlmaToran's Hipolito Ponce in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. After 95 played minutes AlmaToran got a freekick which was hit by Aztore Aroztegui. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
