In the 9th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Espiga to maneuver through the defense. Rochdi Taouni made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. After 23 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nizar Boughanem was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Milagros Cabal fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Milagros Cabal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Milagros Cabal got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Amin El Brazi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Amin El Brazi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to interface getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Amin El Brazi hit a great ball. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Nizar Boughanem made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Nizar Boughanem in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moises Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tijani Oulmers was the one to do the kick off. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tijani Oulmers in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Honduras's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tijani Oulmers fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Villa in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nizar Boughanem saved interface from getting behind. 61 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nizar Boughanem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, interface's Othmane Boukemouch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amin El Brazi's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amin El Brazi helped the player get up and apologised. When Esteban Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Esteban Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nizar Boughanem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Espinar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Amin El Brazi scored to the left of an out of position Lautaro Navarro, making the score, 2-2. In the 90th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nizar Boughanem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honduras were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
