Valentin Bujor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 7th minute of the match. Cosme Fulanito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentin Bujor. D.P.Aarburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. D.P.Aarburg were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emanuel Isias took the corner. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Valentin Bujor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute of the match. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentin Bujor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute. A collision led to D.P.Aarburg getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Roch Tepper hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in D.P.Aarburg's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Bujor came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosme Fulanito in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Valentin Bujor to make any attempt to save it. If Cosme Fulanito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Fulanito, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Isias who took care of the corner kick. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than D.P.Aarburg throughout the match.
