Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Qerim Shala took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 13 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Qerim Shala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kosteños's supporters rose to their feet, but Qerim Shala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Oswaldo Murillo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Panama! Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antoni Amorebieta went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the game, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo Murillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Oswaldo Murillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 33rd minute of play. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 35th minute. The corner led Panama's Abraham Alguacil to fire away a dangerous shot which Oswaldo Murillo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Lundblad in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Kosteños was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Abeijon to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Kosteños's Oswaldo Murillo got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the game, Joel Venceslao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kosteños's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kosteños fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, Panama's Abraham Alguacil got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Oswaldo Murillo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Qerim Shala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Qerim Shala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Murillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Marcos Cotilla managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Kosteños's Qerim Shala fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stig-Ove Lundblad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Matthew Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abraham Alguacil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oswaldo Murillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Kosteños was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Pacorro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Kosteños's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oswaldo Murillo came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Oswaldo Murillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qerim Shala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 95th minute. Antoni Amorebieta's shot from long distance in the 96th minute was not bad at all, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Panama fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kosteños had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
