Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Francisco Seco kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Feo. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Salbatore in the 8th minute of play. Simon Salbatore might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Salbatore ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristobal Feo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Mitch Meersmans made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. After 26 minutes of play, Boca Juniors's Simon Salbatore made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute, Simon Salbatore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maximiliano Escribano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Evaristo Pena made a huge save. Maximiliano Escribano struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Evaristo Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Sebastian Benat charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Benat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Benat. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Salbatore to make the kick off. Simon Salbatore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Simon Salbatore came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Salbatore couldn't finish the play. Camilo Covarrubias kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Simon Salbatore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Salbatore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Sainz made in the 70th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Camilo Franco. Evaristo Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Nicasio Su in the 80th minute really tested Joaquin Gayoso's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 82 minutes into the game, Jorge Sainz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Boca Juniors's Severiano Mann quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Simon Salbatore tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evaristo Pena saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Evaristo Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 87th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Evaristo Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chants of Boca Juniors echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Uruguay had held the ball for most of the match.
