Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Vencel Mezei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute of the match, Bertil Albäck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 14th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vencel Mezei was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Tihamér Angyal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tihamér Angyal in the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vencel Mezei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 22 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tihamér Angyal. In the 26th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Pénzügyőr SE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vencel Mezei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vencel Mezei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bertil Albäck in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bertil Albäck to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Pénzügyőr SE's goalkeeper Vencel Mezei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After having played for 60 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute Herberto Mascarenhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pénzügyőr SE fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Pénzügyőr SE's Bertil Albäck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Albäck in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertil Albäck in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 75 minutes, Bertil Albäck made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vencel Mezei, 2-2. In the 81st minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertil Albäck scored 3-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 91 played minutes Pénzügyőr SE got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Szaniszló. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tihamér Angyal in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Pénzügyőr SE could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
