During the 14th minute of the match Apolo Estavan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Apolo Estavan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 15 played minutes MDP ES TRICOLOR Q22 got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Estavan. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Favila having to interfere. Guido Nesto made in the 22nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. In the 26th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 27 minutes, Ruperto Salvidor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MDP ES TRICOLOR Q22's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Salvidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of MDP ES TRICOLOR Q22 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Egoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the MDP ES TRICOLOR Q22 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The long shot by Ruperto Salvidor in the 48th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cecilio Bieito was the one to do the kick off. Guido Nesto made in the 55th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Melquiades Eleazar immediately put the ball in play. Christian Favila didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of MDP ES TRICOLOR Q22 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
