In the 19th minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Cristian Sancho played forward. After 20 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Diego Satordi sent off a good shot on target. Jurand Bryk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Diego Llorian tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Alonzo Mergildo was slow to take the kick. During this time Bairoletto FC's players had a chance to rest. Filiberto Medina kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match.
