After 13 minutes, Mariano Lacasa made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 20 played minutes Barreal FC got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Covrig. Orlando Casaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Tepedino having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dário Tepedino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dário Tepedino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Barreal FC from getting a goal against them. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Corrêa in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Adelino Corrêa made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Barreal FC made a substitution. Joel Oalo replaced Sebastian Sayvion. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
