Perico Raya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Perico Raya. Perico Raya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, CD Boiro's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Perico Raya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustaquio Turi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustaquio Turi's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eustaquio Turi was slow to take the kick. During this time CD Boiro's players had a chance to rest. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustaquio Turi's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The audience was convinced that Felix Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Perico Raya was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Edgar Figari tried to sneak it across the goal line. Perico Raya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Julio Vera had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Eustaquio Turi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 68th minute Edgar Figari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perico Raya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perico Raya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Eustaquio Turi made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. CD Boiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Luis Andino scored to the left of an out of position Perico Raya, making the score, 1-4. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Eustaquio Turi sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Qiao Qing Xiao hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
