But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolis Arvanitoyannis in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Apostolis Arvanitoyannis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 1-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Underdogs's Brak Gola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Underdogs from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruud van Nistelrooij's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kacper Mentus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but Underdogs were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
