Christoffer Modig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 47th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingemar Jonasson made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ingemar Jonasson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oakcroft Thrashers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludwig Ståhlman in the 60th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christoffer Modig was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 69 minute of play. The throw-in from Hugo Hellgren in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Christoffer Modig in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christoffer Modig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 87th minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru's Rafael Gallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Hellgren, made in the 91st minute of the game. Christoffer Modig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christoffer Modig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Peru were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
