Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Enrico Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorio Carceles hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gianluigi Donnarumma. PERSPOLIS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Daniel Zorita scored 1-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gianluigi Donnarumma came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 54th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingmar Bergman in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Luis Andino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PERSPOLIS's Gianluigi Donnarumma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Gianluigi Donnarumma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. 75 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. A very nice done corner allowed Felix Montenegro to score against Gianluigi Donnarumma in PERSPOLIS's goal. 1-8 after 76 minutes. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after PERSPOLIS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Mihovil Štibić tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Gianluigi Donnarumma. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-9 in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Donnarumma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gianluigi Donnarumma. The goal made the score 1-10. PERSPOLIS's Gianluigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 91st minute of play. In the 91st minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Gianluigi Donnarumma. PERSPOLIS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-11. Pedro León hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
