Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Vinícius Olgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andi Jovanović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Vinícius Olgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vinícius Olgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Olgado™ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th match minute, Olgado™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andi Jovanović to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Andi Jovanović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olgado™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Andi Jovanović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vinícius Olgado came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustín Saelices slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Andi Jovanović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andi Jovanović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andi Jovanović in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Olgado™'s goalkeeper Vinícius Olgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Vinícius Olgado made a huge save. In the 79th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Olgado™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andi Jovanović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Andi Jovanović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Teodoro Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Olgado™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Domingues couldn't finish the play. Vinícius Olgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 严浩远 during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olgado™'s Endrick Fenomeno was substituted for Andi Jovanović. After a rather tough play, Olgado™'s 严浩远 got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Endrick Fenomeno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olgado™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
