Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.. After 5 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Mastache. 0-1 became the score in the 6th minute when Abubakar Kamarád elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abubakar Kamarád, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Abram Sarmiento fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 19th minute, Santino Seco made a precise shot to the right of Mahmud Alp. ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Santino Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mahmud Alp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mahmud Alp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 35th minute of play. ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Axel Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Mahmud Alp, making the score, 2-1. The ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Abubakar Kamarád looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abubakar Kamarád's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Abubakar Kamarád received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Manzanares came out and tried to block the shot, but Abubakar Kamarád slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 52nd minute. Chu Zhen Xun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Abubakar Kamarád came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pedro Manzanares could save by the left post. Chu Zhen Xun made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Simos Kozapalidis. In the 60th minute, ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Matthis Paelemans dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Kornel Brahm hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Matthis Paelemans took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. made a substitution. Emanúel Iturbe replaced Matthis Paelemans. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Abubakar Kamarád struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Demis Krasopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Chu Zhen Xun came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chu Zhen Xun couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Abubakar Kamarád stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Abubakar Kamarád tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 94th minute of play forced ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s goalkeeper Mahmud Alp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abram Secada scored 4-6 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mahmud Alp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Colombia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C..
