In the 20th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omar Falleto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With an all-out effort, Los Podridos ll's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan Carlos Messi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Hugo Iratze came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Los Podridos ll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Iratze couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Costa came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Los Podridos ll had won after a very even match.
