Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Brummer in the 3rd minute of play. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Jonas Hellqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Pelle Smedfeldt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Tomas Asserlindh took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. Mattias Olofsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jonas Hellqvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tomas Asserlindh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Mattias Olofsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ecuador's Luis Andino in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye StraX Xenon FC's goalie prevented a goal. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joacim Andersson in the 41st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as StraX Xenon FC's Joacim Andersson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 3-0 after 41 minutes of play. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when StraX Xenon FC's Jonas Hellqvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 46 played minutes StraX Xenon FC got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Runeberg. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 55 played minutes StraX Xenon FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Gernberg. Joacim Andersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Asserlindh came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattias Olofsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 62nd minute. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Mattias Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. StraX Xenon FC made a substitution. Rikard Arhenius replaced Hugo Gernberg. The supporters of Ecuador booed when StraX Xenon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Gernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, StraX Xenon FC's goalkeeper Mattias Olofsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Hellqvist in the 71st minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattias Olofsson made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mattias Olofsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, StraX Xenon FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
