In the 16th minute, Gonzalo Otsoko made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-1.

The wind increased when Gonzalo Otsoko made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Matthew McKail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Otsoko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Otsoko came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Matthew McKail made a huge save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yana Brolin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Chelsea Headhunters's Matthew McKail got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Chelsea Headhunters players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
