Tomasz Huchro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Pål Säv made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Tomasz Huchro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Anier Eron managed to get in a good position for a shot. 9 de Diciembre's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Eron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. After 86 minutes, Rogelio Ruisko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 9 de Diciembre and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0.
