The supporters of Cercadinho booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mugurel Zota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valiente Venezian in the 28th minute of play. The Cercadinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 44th minute, Valiente Venezian reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valiente Venezian made a kick off.
