Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Ariel Goyo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ariel Goyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Hugo Ferrant's late challenge caught a san isidro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. san isidro made a substitution. Álvaro Abraão replaced Aurelio Montrelle. Gösta Kihlberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Gösta Kihlberg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. In the 24th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Goyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The supporters of san isidro booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gösta Kihlberg came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the san isidro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gösta Kihlberg couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Ariel Goyo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ariel Goyo in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave san isidro the free kick. After 41 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. In the 47th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 55 minutes of play, san isidro's Gösta Kihlberg made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Axel Tasis's late challenge caught a san isidro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by san isidro's Ariel Goyo. But to his dismay, Ariel Goyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Marko in the 72nd minute of play. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 75th minute. Ariel Goyo took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. san isidro walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
