Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amine Philibert in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute Amine Philibert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Amine Philibert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ground Control fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Amine Philibert might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amine Philibert ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Amine Philibert came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Jose Sanz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ground Control the free kick. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jose Sanz hit a great ball. Amine Philibert might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amine Philibert ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 played minutes Ground Control got a freekick which was hit by Batiste Lassalle. Jose Sanz made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ground Control's Jacques Greff. Batiste Lassalle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Amine Philibert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute of the game Jose Sanz made a throw-in which Hector Covarrubias played forward. After having played for 35 minutes, Amine Philibert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ground Control's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amine Philibert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Jose Sanz in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ground Control's Jacques Greff. Amine Philibert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th minute Amine Philibert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pascal Trefzer in the 47 minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amine Philibert to make the kick off. If Amine Philibert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Xavier Zoido hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ground Control's Batiste Lassalle got a free kick in the 54th minute. Amine Philibert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. Amine Philibert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Campos during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alan Campos hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Ground Control's Amine Philibert got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ground Control booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Sanz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Amine Philibert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Amine Philibert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Amine Philibert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amine Philibert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Ground Control's Batiste Lassalle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jacobo Nores in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ground Control's Jacques Greff managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jose Sanz in the 90 minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascal Trefzer during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pascal Trefzer kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Amine Philibert notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ground Control walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
