Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Caiado in the 10th minute of play. Francisco Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Infante. Lima Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herberto Caiado took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Infante having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lima Team's goalkeeper Francisco Infante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Infante having to interfere. Francisco Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Lima Team's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Francisco Infante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Herberto Caiado made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Herberto Caiado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Lima Team's Francisco Infante. Francisco Infante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Francisco Infante managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 58th minute Herberto Caiado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Lima Team's goalkeeper Francisco Infante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Lima Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Lima Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Sobral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 67th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacob Barroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. With a little luck, Lima Team's Francisco Infante got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 played minutes Lima Team got a freekick which was hit by Herberto Caiado. In the 79th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Lima Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Infante quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Felix Montes sped through Lima Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Francisco Infante. Francisco Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Infante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacob Barroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lima Team.
