They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Trigo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Sumaré Sport Club's goalkeeper Richard Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Trigo in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sumaré Sport Club made a substitution. Mehmet Oğuz Uram replaced Xu Sha Quan. In the 83rd minute, Jessica Xerifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Daniel Zorita in the 84th minute really tested Richard Fontes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Chmelyk came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Richard Fontes made a huge save. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sumaré Sport Club throughout the match.
