Deportivo De La Prugna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfredo Mastrocola in the 8th minute. It was a well-played corner which Achille Micarelli managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Pellecchia in the 10th minute of play. Pascual Carballar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Nicolini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ranko Tocos in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Carlo Pellecchia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Nicolini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfonso Nicolini made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Pellecchia in the 27th minute of the match. Santino Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Alfonso Nicolini made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Deportivo De La Prugna's Carlo Pellecchia in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo De La Prugna's Alfredo Mastrocola. But to his dismay, Alfredo Mastrocola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alfredo Di Blasio kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Alfonso Nicolini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The Colombia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo De La Prugna were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlo Pellecchia was the one to do the kick off. Deportivo De La Prugna's Alfonso Nicolini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 52nd minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Rocchetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Nicolini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Montenegro took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Nicolini. Alfonso Nicolini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Alfonso Nicolini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Alfredo Mastrocola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Nicolini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Carlo Pellecchia tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Colombia booed when Deportivo De La Prugna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Di Blasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. A collision led to Deportivo De La Prugna getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Alfredo Di Blasio hit a great ball. Abram Secada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonso Nicolini having to make a save. In the 80th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Nicolini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo De La Prugna's Alfonso Nicolini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 87th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Abram Secada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonso Nicolini. Deportivo De La Prugna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abram Secada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Alfredo Di Blasio hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
