Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mister Bean in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute ❤GinchanelManu13❤ were awarded a corner. Joshua Fontaine went to the cornerflag to take it. 12 minutes into the match, ❤GinchanelManu13❤'s Enzo Luongo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mister Bean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Enzo Luongo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Luongo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, ❤GinchanelManu13❤'s Sílvio Zárate got a free kick in the 28th minute. Guillermo Fontirroig struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Alessandro De Vecchis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. ❤GinchanelManu13❤'s Alessandro De Vecchis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Fontirroig in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute, ❤GinchanelManu13❤'s Enzo Luongo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Chile were furious when Alan Tamayo was red carded, 43 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chile! Enzo Luongo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Casaus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enzo Luongo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. ❤GinchanelManu13❤'s Enzo Luongo got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Luongo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 79th minute Xabat Portillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, ❤GinchanelManu13❤'s Domenico Masetti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xabat Portillo in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ❤GinchanelManu13❤ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
