The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After 15 minutes, Ole-Gunnar Klose mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darkness and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bruno Magdaleno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafino Bazil received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Serafino Bazil slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Darkness's Ole-Gunnar Klose sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ole-Gunnar Klose in the 34th minute of play. If Ole-Gunnar Klose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafino Bazil to make the kick off. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Bazil in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute, Serafino Bazil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 58th minute. Darkness's Bruno Magdaleno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Darkness from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ole-Gunnar Klose came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Serafino Bazil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Darkness's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafino Bazil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ole-Gunnar Klose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Kane Einstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darkness made a substitution. Benigno Canor replaced Ole-Gunnar Klose. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Darkness players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rdth minute of the game Benigno Canor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Canor's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Darkness's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
