A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Espiga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jehad Listiyantoro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Java booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Edmundo Espiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Moises Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Tafalla couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timotius Husodo in the 33rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Java getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Egi Bajuri hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rully Lasut in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Rully Lasut hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Java's Aryo Febrian got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Java's Ari Sapulette slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-1 after 61 minutes of play. 69 minutes into the match, Java's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Jehad Listiyantoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes Java got a freekick which was hit by Mukti Giro. After 77 minutes, Luca Espinar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Java players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Luca Espinar got a free kick in the 77th minute. Moises Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jehad Listiyantoro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Jehad Listiyantoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Java defense, Sebastian Villa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jehad Listiyantoro. The Java fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jehad Listiyantoro should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute, Awa Wenas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Honduras had played much better football throughout.
