The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Tony Löv in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bicicleta F.C.'s goalkeeper Tony Löv, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Luca Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Löv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tony Löv made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Luca Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bicicleta F.C.'s Tony Löv did a great save. Bicicleta F.C.'s Andreas Arendt got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tony Löv made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Andreas Arendt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Griezmann in the 56th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Bicicleta F.C.'s Gregorio Abalos to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 61st minute of play forced Bicicleta F.C.'s goalkeeper Tony Löv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bicicleta F.C.'s Tony Löv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Felix Luque fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Felix Luque a yellow card for diving instead. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Bicicleta F.C. made a substitution. Javier Gagriel replaced Lucas Basualdo. Bicicleta F.C. made a substitution. Eleuterio Sotil replaced Andreas Arendt. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Löv made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bicicleta F.C.'s Antoine Griezmann. But to his dismay, Antoine Griezmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Tony Löv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tony Löv in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tony Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Sotil came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eleuterio Sotil, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 93 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dante Lacasa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bicicleta F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mexico.
