Bart Basson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zach Harrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bart Basson had great luck who in the 7thth minute grab hold of the ball when Zach Harrison from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Vamo A Calmarno's Flavio Fernandes. But to his dismay, Flavio Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bart Basson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A throw-in in the 14th minute of the game was made by Diego Bradley with Monty Rogers as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vamo A Calmarno's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Diego Bradley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bart Basson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st minute, Flavio Fernandes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Bart Basson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Vamo A Calmarno's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Bart Basson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 28th minute of play forced Vamo A Calmarno's goalkeeper Bart Basson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Bart Basson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 39th minute Flavio Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match Vamo A Calmarno got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Serbülent Ushan ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Fernandes in the 43rd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monty Rogers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bart Basson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flavio Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 50 minutes, Edward Mcdonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Mcdonald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Flavio Fernandes notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venancio Carretero fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 79th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. After 83 minutes of play, Vamo A Calmarno's Justino Rainerio made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The throw-in from Diego Bradley in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vamo A Calmarno's Venancio Carretero. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Venancio Carretero advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-6 in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Khalid Parry notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Vamo A Calmarno's Bart Basson. Bart Basson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The USA manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Vamo A Calmarno to win.
