Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After some careless play in the SEGAFREDO CF defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marius Søndenå. The SEGAFREDO CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marius Søndenå should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in SEGAFREDO CF's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marius Søndenå came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play forced SEGAFREDO CF's goalkeeper Marius Søndenå to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, SEGAFREDO CF's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Marius Søndenå reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute. A nice corner shot did that Juan Sebastián Puig got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marius Søndenå quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. SEGAFREDO CF's Marius Søndenå played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute of play forced SEGAFREDO CF's goalkeeper Marius Søndenå to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Quadros in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Cavalcante in the 66th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when SEGAFREDO CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Gusmão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Marius Søndenå 84 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 89th minute. The SEGAFREDO CF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
