Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 13thth minute of the game Bernardo Goudreau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gilberto Boone could save by the left post. Gilberto Boone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilberto Boone. The goal made the score 1-1. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. Varennes's Gilberto Boone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Boone having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 31st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Boone made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After 40 minutes of play, Varennes's Maurice Odonnell made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute Maurice Odonnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Maurice Odonnell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Ecuador players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Varennes were winning 1-2.

Maurice Odonnell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 50th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Varennes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Varennes's goalie and right to Agustín Saelices. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Varennes's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Boone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Varennes made a substitution. Titus Pineda replaced Bernardo Goudreau. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gilberto Boone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Boone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Boone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Ecuador's Luis Andino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Titus Pineda in the 94th minute of play. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
