Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Domenico Lauro made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Giusti in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Ferdinando Battista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute really tested Domenico Lauro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Daniel Zorita got in the 13th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Domenico Lauro. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-0. Domenico Lauro made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. NewDip F.C.'s Domenico Lauro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save NewDip F.C. from getting a goal against them. If Alessio Giusti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 27 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alessio Giusti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Giusti, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Domenico Lauro made a huge save. In the 40th minute Alessio Giusti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Giusti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domenico Lauro made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ecuador booed when NewDip F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Cavallaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alessio Giusti was the one to do the kick off. Domenico Lauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Giusti, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Giusti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho's late challenge caught a NewDip F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. NewDip F.C.'s Ferruccio Scalabrino was substituted for Dave Aversano. 71 minutes into the game, Kléber Chiluiza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NewDip F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Kléber Chiluiza kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. NewDip F.C. made a substitution. Fulvio Pesce replaced Kléber Chiluiza. Zdzislaw Pieprz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NewDip F.C. made a substitution. Antonio Tripodi replaced Alessio Giusti. When Ecuador's Agustín Saelices in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dino Cavallaro hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
