Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) HFA FC's Celestino Eli started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Celestino Eli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Celestino Eli came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celestino Eli struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HFA FC. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celestino Eli went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Eli in the 19th minute of the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celestino Eli went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Celestino Eli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Eli in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of HFA FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Petrigai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Eli, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Celestino Eli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celestino Eli scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Celestino Eli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HFA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Eli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Eli in the 46th minute of play. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. HFA FC were winning 0-4.

Celestino Eli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Puig took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cleto Gonza. Cleto Gonza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Celestino Eli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Celestino Eli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The HFA FC fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when HFA FC's Celestino Eli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 61 minutes, Celestino Eli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HFA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Eli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Celestino Eli lined in a short shot 1-6 behind a frustrated Benito Sanz. Celestino Eli might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Eli ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celestino Eli. If Celestino Eli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Eli, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Celestino Eli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celestino Eli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Celestino Eli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 76th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Eli in the 79th minute of the match. After 81st play minutes Celestino Eli shot 1-8, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. Celestino Eli might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Eli ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Eli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89th play minutes Celestino Eli shot 1-9, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. Celestino Eli hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, HFA FC's C.J. De la Sotta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-10.
