Donato Toscano hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Marco Quental received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Marco Quental cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marco Quental fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. A collision led to Safira Harammes getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Vítor Campos hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Marco Quental shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Quental's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Safira Harammes's Hilário Figueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Davies in the 36th minute of play. Rocco Owen's late challenge caught a Safira Harammes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rocco Owen helped the player get up and apologised. When Donato Toscano fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Safira Harammes's protests and gave Donato Toscano a yellow card for diving instead. Donato Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Marshall Graham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilário Figueira having to make a save. 46 minutes into the match, Stanley Wallace notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Safira Harammes's Hilário Figueira. Hilário Figueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Davies made a kick off. The supporters of Safira Harammes booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertie Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Marco Quental could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Bruno Barrett however easily saved by the left post. Boguslaw Sakowicz lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Safira Harammes! Kyle Davies kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Hilário Figueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Davies, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Bertie Johnson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hilário Figueira. Safira Harammes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 96th minute Stanley Wallace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilário Figueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Curacao were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Safira Harammes for a fine match.
