Tibor Simicska didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tibor Simicska saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Tibor Simicska. Átkozottak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Tibor Simicska showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Tibor Simicska despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Átkozottak's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Tibor Simicska reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Tamás Elek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Átkozottak's supporters rose to their feet, but Tamás Elek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the match, Átkozottak's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Tibor Simicska reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gábor Antal during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Átkozottak getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gábor Antal hit a great ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tibor Simicska quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Átkozottak getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gábor Antal hit a great ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gábor Antal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Átkozottak booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Tibor Simicska made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Ádám Gaál ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ádám Gaál, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Átkozottak's Sebestyén Tandori was substituted for Bálint Papp. In the 73rd minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Átkozottak made a substitution. Gyula Véber replaced Ottó Gervai. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebestyén Tandori's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebestyén Tandori helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Zorita, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tibor Simicska made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Tibor Simicska however easily saved by the left post. In the 90th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tibor Simicska. Tibor Simicska yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After 93 played minutes Átkozottak got a freekick which was hit by Sebestyén Tandori. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tibor Simicska having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tibor Simicska. The goal made the score 1-5.
