Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liu Feng Quan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Mexico players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo el Divague were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonatan Tolino was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Leoz.
