In the 9th minute Ascencio Quintas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose-Manuel Jauregui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Ray De Lauw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ray De Lauw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of the match. Jose-Manuel Jauregui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luz Tejedor scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ray De Lauw, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 36 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Eliseo Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ascencio Quintas in the 42nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ascencio Quintas in the 44th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Iosu Toxeiro, made in the 52nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose-Manuel Jauregui in the 58th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vetusta's attentive Iosu Toxeiro managed to snatch the ball when Alonso Berganza made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. 61 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. After a rather tough play, Vetusta's Iosu Toxeiro got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Ray De Lauw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 83rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Palomar in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. A collision led to Vetusta getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Nicolás Rua hit a great ball. When Marco Palomar came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Vetusta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Palomar couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vetusta.
