Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Bazkoare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Regresado's Emilio Bazkoare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 61st minute of play. Emilio Bazkoare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Emilio Bazkoare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of the match. Emilio Bazkoare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brian Foretic's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Qu Quan Kang during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Regresado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qu Quan Kang didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, Regresado still came away with the win.
