Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Le Stade Briochin UC's Jaime Tabor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Nolan Roux fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Lev Yashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when Le Stade Briochin UC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Farid Verrecchia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Le Stade Briochin UC's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 9th minute of play. Lev Yashin came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luca Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lev Yashin having to make a save. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Farid Verrecchia in the 19th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Le Stade Briochin UC got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Sauze. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lev Yashin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Jaime Tabor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nolan Roux, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nolan Roux in the 43rd minute of the match. When Farid Verrecchia came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Le Stade Briochin UC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farid Verrecchia couldn't finish the play. Le Stade Briochin UC made a substitution. Dimitri Nedellec replaced Nolan Roux. 48 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lev Yashin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lev Yashin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farid Verrecchia in the 56th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Mancebo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Le Stade Briochin UC made a substitution. Allan Parsons replaced Christopher Palumbo. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lev Yashin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 87 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lev Yashin. That made the score 0-2 after 90 minutes of play. The supporters of Le Stade Briochin UC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball.
