An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play forced Stat Veritas FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Erramun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. When Stat Veritas FC's Ciriaco Tanio in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Mauricio Erramun made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stat Veritas FC's Stian Hestvik was substituted for Wincent Lizewski. Stat Veritas FC's Fernando Dantae was substituted for Ciriaco Tanio. 67 minutes into the match, Stat Veritas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Mauricio Erramun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauricio Erramun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 85th minute. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Melchor Qwinton in the 86 minute of the game. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stat Veritas FC throughout the match.
