In the 20th minute Alberto Gisbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavle Rakočević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Trivun Mirotić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Pavle Rakočević made a huge save. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mirsad Grkinić in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksandar Stojanović in the 37th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Aleksandar Stojanović made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Pannonia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Jaime Cazalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavle Rakočević having to make a save. If Aleksandar Stojanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bogdan Trailović fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pannonia's protests and gave Bogdan Trailović a yellow card for diving instead. Pavle Rakočević stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Stojmen Živić kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mirsad Grkinić in the 72nd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Mirsad Grkinić capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mirsad Grkinić really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. 邱亦松 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, 邱亦松 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 85th minute, Stojmen Živić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 邱亦松 in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Uruguay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pannonia's performance. The match ended with a win for Pannonia.
