After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gilberto Dacio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Itacaruaré FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After having played for 15 minutes, Marciano Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itacaruaré FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute Eriberto Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant had great luck who in the 29thth minute grab hold of the ball when Marciano Garcia from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 30 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Laureano Kemen who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Garcia in the 35th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marciano Garcia took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Kemen in the 41st minute of play. Laureano Kemen, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eriberto Ledesma's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Ledesma helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Itacaruaré FC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Ledesma. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Dacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Marciano Garcia took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 80th minute, Eriberto Ledesma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Platon came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Candido Platon's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Platon, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Itacaruaré FC's Gilberto Dacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Itacaruaré FC were the better team. Itacaruaré FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
