Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Ferdinand Weijnants scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Teo De Jonge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Vliegplein's Teo De Jonge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. Ferdinand Weijnants blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ferdinand Weijnants tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. The KFC Vliegplein fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
